    Seeing this and many other monitor sub-division requests, a general and possibly user-configurable solution would be ideal.

    To piggy-back on this idea, I often divide my screen horizontally (occasionally even vertically) into thirds or quarters, and only with a multimonitor setup of 1920x1080 screens. Currently I have to use another piece of software to achieve this with keyboard shortcuts. The ability to snap windows to subdivided regions of a monitor, whether with keyboard shortcuts or by using the mouse and a keyboard modifier key, would be ideal.
