I agree with you. This is done this way mainly for legacy reasons, but we will try to change this in the next refactoring round.
An error occurred while saving the comment Anonymous commentedAdditionally, if the window is already at the horizontal or vertical maximum, a second press of the hotkey would restore it to the previous size. Use case here is a terminal window that you temporarily want to maximize horizontally (e.g. for a wide log file or diff) then restore to the previous size and position. fvwm2 did this well.

Focus follows mouse or "sun-mouse" is a fairly standard configuration option for most Unix window managers. fvwm2 had LazyFocus which was nice where focus was either in the current window under the mouse or if you moved it to the Desktop (no window), it would remain on the last focused window. I currently use a separate Window 10 app for this feature but it would be nice if AquaSnap had this feature too.
