  1. Default Split View

Instead of manually adjusting windows every time, can you provide options to set up grid ? Say I can either split screen into 2 or 4 parts. Then whenever I open a new window, it automatically snaps to first part for example.

And all windows have to follow the grid. Say I move one windows, it has to snap into one of these screen parts, instead of hanging in between.

    Please, this would be awesome.

  2. some suggestions

    excuse my english...

    1. show current window size while resizing (help resizing to exact size like 1024px etc)
    2. snap to predefined horizontal and vertical positions (800, 1024, 1280 etc)
    3. save application position and automatically arrange when application start
    4. option to enable aquaglue without ctrl key
    5. apply aquaglue to window which is below top window (if window a and b is in same position and b is below a. and glued with c. if i resize using aquaglue b is not resize)

  3. Add applications/processes to exclusion list for incompatible programs to prevent crashes

Add a list in settings where processes / applications can be excluded from AquaSnap handling their windows. This will keep window management oddities and crashes from occurring.

  4. Retain window size when dragging away from an edge, IF the window size was manually changed

When I resize a docked window, that's generally the size I want it to be. And undocking it returns it's size to whatever it was before docking, which might be irrelevant to me. In fact, I often use docking to quickly and easily get a window to a manageable size, and then I would like to undock it. As it is, I can only move it around the edge (which is pretty good).

However, the current behaviour is quite good; any window will remember its size before it was docked to a screen edge, and restore it when un-docked. Resizing…

  5. Please make AquaSTRETCH more configurable (full mouse-only)

I prefer a keyboard-less operation, and ideally I would use an AquaStretch mode which either stretched a window across the screen when dragged to the edge, or when double clicking an edge. As it is your modes only do both or neither.

The closest is 'AeroStretch', but there is no quick way to only expand one window border. While the AquaMagnet screen edge attraction does allow dragging a border to the edge without triggering a full screen stretch nicely, it is a tiny bit fiddly. Additionally 'AeroStretch' has a bug where dragging a maximised window to a screen edge causes…

  6. New AquaSnap mode or modifier key that doesn't allow overlapping docked windows

One last idea that would really make for a clever window manager.

When a second or third window is snapped to any screen edge, resize existing docked windows to prevent window overlap. Suggest up to 3 windows per side. Could be a new mode, or a modifier key, or double clicking a docked window, or dragging along a screen edge, or something? Its starting to sound a little unintuitive...

  7. Fun* resize by locking window borders to screen edges with SHIFT while dragging window

I think it would be really interesting to resize windows just by moving them around the screen.

The SHIFT key should have any window that is partially off screen snap the off-screen window border to the screen edge until the key is released. This means you could drag a window of any size to the edge and dock it there. Or you could drag it away again with one or more borders remaining locked to the screen edge. Releasing SHIFT mid-drag would allow the resized window to be moved away from the edge again.

Plus, instead of using the SHIFT…

  8. "Prevent windows from going outside of the monitor edges"

"Prevent windows from going outside of the monitor edges" is a feature I would like to see in this app.
Whenever a user(or a program) drags(or positions) a window outside of the monitor edges, the windows snaps to inside edges of the screen.
This should apply to both user positioning and for programs positioning of windows. This is very useful, because it's really annoying when this occurs, and there is no built in way to get the window back into visible area.

  13. Option to apply the mouse wheel to whichever window is under the mouse cursor

    Additional comments:
    (1) I believe this is already the case with MS Office 2013 programs (but not MS Office 2010 which I am using on the computer I am writing this on).
    (2) If there is a slight delay after crossing a window border before mouse scroll will go into that window, consider showing this visually, for example a small rotating circle next to the arrow during the delay, or a change in colour of the window border when it becomes the receiver of mouse scroll.
