How can we improve AquaSnap?

You've used all your votes and won't be able to post a new idea, but you can still search and comment on existing ideas.

  1. "Take up available space" options under AquaSnap>Custom

    I have a multi monitor set up and keep one of them in portrait. I'm used to maximizing a window by dragging it to the top edge of the screen. Thing is, if I use it on my landscape monitor, it takes up only half of the screen (which I don't want on lanscape, only on portrait). And if I set it to fullscreen, then my landscape monitor is fine but for portrait, dragging to top makes the whole window fullscreen instead of just taking up the available space. So the best solution to that is to have an option…

  3. Set custom size of drop zones

    50/50 screen splits and even quarters is available in base windows now. I was hoping for a tool that would let me set custom sized "snap to" zones, like a 2/3 1/3 option. That allows a chat, to-do list, or inbox feed to stay visible in 1/3rd the screen next to a 2/3 window for your main work. Right now with AquaSnap I have to manually size the first window for the 2nd to then fill the remaining space, and isnt much more convenient than the manual process for that in windows.

  7. Need the snapping to work with a particular program (NinjaTrader stock trading)

    Love the idea of snapping b/c I would use it daily.
    In particular w/ the program called NinjaTrader (stock trading software).

  8. Stable Virtual Desktop Support.

    I'm searching for software that supports a flexible setup for quick custom window arrangement over multiple Virtual Desktops.
    Currently using setups like
    2 windows: [ ][ ],
    3 windows: [ ][ ][ ]
    or even 4: [ ][ ][-]

    across multiple virtual desktops in Windows 10 for both private and professional use cases. All currently continuesly arranged manually..

  9. I want to be able to save window positions. In this case, a 2/3 screen window in the center of the screen and assign it a hot key.

  11. Make AquaGlue work with Larger Window Groups

    Presently, AquaGlue works with groups of up to three unequally-sized windows or four equally-sized windows each "magnetically snapped" on two sides.

    The functionality would be greatly improved if able to work with e.g. 3+ horizontally or vertically stacked windows--or any group of windows which were constrained on at least one edge by an AquaMagnet snap.

  12. multiple workspace support

    Was hoping for i3 like behaviour so I could better utilise workspaces in windows 10. Wanted to be able to send the current window to numbered workspace using a hotkey combo and use another hotkey combo to switch to a numbered workspace.

  13. Press key or key combination to temporarily disable snapping when moving/resizing window.

    Sometimes I want to be precise when moving/resizing window. If I have snap on then window jumps too much when it snaps. I would like to be able to press a key or combination of keys to temporarily turn of snapping while moving/resizing window so I can be more accurate in moving/resizing window.

  15. multiple taskbars

    having a fully functioning taskbar on every screen would be really nice.
    I'd like to be able to access programs, that are minimized to the taskbar tray, on all of my screens

  16. Active Monitor Selection

    The free version only lets me use the app on one monitor. That's fine, but it should let me select which monitor it's active in. I only need it for one monitor that isn't my primary.

  17. keyboard shortcut to move to center one thrid of screen vertically and horizontally

    Implement keyboard shortcut that moves active window through 1/3 (one thirds) of the screen space vertically and another shortcut for horizontal positioning.

  19. Max an app window on only a section of the desktop (not the entire desktop)

    Right now if I maximise an app window it will occupy the entire desktop.

    However, I want to be able to divide the desktop into sections (e.g. 1 x 2, 2 x 2, 3 x 2, 2 x 3, etc) and allow any app within a section to be maximised.

    If, let's say, I triple click on a section it gets maximised to entire desktop. Also want to be able to simply rearrange sections by just dragging them.

  20. Save/Restore Layouts & Launch Programs

    It would be nice to be able to Save/Restore Actual Windows Position, not just to Snap or Stretch, but to Overlap as Well. Then when you restore a layout, it also launches individual Application/FIles in the positions they were in when the layout was saved. This would be a true Layout Manager instead of a Window Snap program.
